By now, you have probably heard of Scoot, the latest entrant competing in the already somewhat saturated market in the low cost carriers segment. But as consumers, we definitely welcome this as more competition always drive prices lower for us to enjoy. The official launch date is on April 2012 and at the moment, Scoot will reach destinations in Australia, New Zealand, United States and Europe. They also did mentioned “other countries” but no details on this so far.
Reaching the US and Europe via low cost carriers got us really excited because so far there are no budget carriers that reach these destinations. Especially when Air Asia no longer take flights to Europe due to low demand and high operating costs. Air Asia will officially remove their routes to Europe by the end of March 2012.
Scoot is giving away 2 free premium class tickets when you sign up with them. You can also increase your chances of winning by following them on facebook. Link.
