Tiger airways is one of the local low cost carriers in Singapore that flies directly to Krabi. Previously, they stopped their flights to Krabi for awhile but now the flights are back. So, if you are thinking of getting a quick (and relatively cheap) retreat, you can consider Krabi as one of your choice.
At Krabi, you will find lots of nice beaches. One of the top rated beaches is the Railay beach. (More details on Highly rated Railay beach). There are also numerous tour operators that that can bring you to the famous Phi Phi islands, when you book a Sea tour package. A Sea tour package typically bring you to some of the famous islands nearby where you hop from one beach to another, (Island hopping), enjoy the great views of nature, snorkeling and also lunch. Booking your Hotel in Krabi
In Krabi, the 2 main areas to book hotel is at Ao Nang or Railay. I would recommend staying in Ao Nang, which is the mainland of Krabi where you have access to places like Krabi Town, eateries and other places of interests. If you choose to stay at Ao Nang, you can consider hotels like the Phu Pi Maan. This hotel is located close to the beach area and they have free shuttle service that can bring you to a nearby place you name. It is somewhat like a free taxi service to and back your hotel. Another hotel you can consider is the very popular Holiday Inn Resort. It is well located and have views overseeing the beach.
Railay is an island, so if you decide to book a hotel there, you will need to take a boat trip over to the main island. However, the island itself has a nice beach and is a good place to relax and unwind.

Price for visitors: 100 baht
To get to see this natural waterfall, you need to be physically fit as you are required to walk about 400 metres on a rocky track before you can get to the base of the waterfall. That said, it is also one of rare occasions where you can get to the base of the waterfall to experience the splatter of a waterfall. (Feels great, really). The whole journey should take you about 1hr or more. The water at these pools are naturally coloured, so this serve as another place to check out some great creations that nature has. You can swim at the Emerald pool, so do bring along swim wear if you decide to do so.

4) Namtok Ron Hot spring waterfall at Krabi
This is a natural hot spring where the temperature of the water is around 40 degree Celsius. You will need to walk about 10 minutes to reach the hot spring. The use of the hot spring is free and you can soak as long as you wish. But it is recommended that you do not soak more than 15 minutes. People who soaked here for about 15 minutes have reported to feel slight giddiness. Nevertheless, it is a cool place to check out.
